Orbital Stack

RWDI had developed Orbital Stack as an AI-powered wind simulator for architects. With that product, there came a need for a support site for users to access and gain information on different aspects of the software. I was tasked with organizing information and designing page layouts for their Getting Started Guide and Project Forms.

Client: RWDI

Role: Web Design, UX Design, UI Design

Brief: Using existing web pages as a guide, create a layout and flows for the getting started guide and variable project submission forms.

Through iterations, the Getting Started Guide was broken down from a single page comprehensive guide into several separated pages organized by the users stage in the process under each category. This would reduce the amount of content for users to sift through, and make topics easier to find through the navigation.

The project forms were split into two categories, simplified and advanced. New users could submit through the simplified form and optionally expand to the advanced form as they became more familiar with the tools and settings in the program. Additional sections in the advanced form would appear as needed so users who did not need to fulfill the additional form fields wouldn’t have to spend time reviewing them.
